KENYA - WE ARE ONE

We are Kenyan, we are one,
Even when terror spews, from the muzzle of your guns,
Shattering so many lives, and leaving our peace undone,
The heartbeat of our nation, left exposed and prone,
Gingerly we may step from our wounds, but our spirit is unbowed,
As we press on against terror, our courage is uncowed,
The Kenyan spirit, is stronger than ever and alive,
Every death and injury has strengthened our resolve, together as one we shall survive.
