THE VOICE OF A POET

My aspiration, Is to be a beacon of hope and inspiration, To serve humanity with utmost dedication, And help the society overcome some frustrations. My aspiration, Is to live a life of courage, faith and daring, To touch each acquitance with a dose of caring, And to soak in the bliss of the joy of sharing. My aspiration, Is to live a life of comfort and happiness, To see the beauty of life in its fullness To enjoy each moment in its richness. © Patolyer 2012

I yearn to be treated with dignity, Whenever life denies me the opportunity, For though I face challenges of instability, I face each head on to the best of my ability. I deserve to be accorded some respect, Even when most of my kind are deemed suspect, In many situations I'm left upset, By the indignation that is so deep set. I preserve my dignity with whats left of my pride, That is battered and beaten as an effect of the rough ride, That life has conspired to adjoin to my side, To drag and push along the way as a guide. © Patolyer 2012
